Exciting Update from Chairman of The Family Place

by Volunteer Coordinator | Jul 16, 2024

Dear Supporters of The Family Place,

I wanted you to be among the very first to know that Tiffany Tate (McDaniel) has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of The Family Place.

The Board of Directors conducted a thorough search over the past several months for the optimal leader to carry The Family Place into the future. Tiffany quickly emerged as our leading candidate as we worked closely alongside her these past seven months as our Interim CEO, witnessing firsthand how well she leads the organization.

Tiffany’s incredible career spanning over two decades in nonprofit social services, on top of her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those most vulnerable in our society, make her an outstanding choice for CEO. During her 10 years serving in various leadership capacities for The Family Place, she has spearheaded numerous groundbreaking initiatives such as:

  • Design and implementation of the first shelter for men and children in the nation;
  • Securing The Family Place as the Domestic Violence High Risk Team for Dallas County;
  • Developing the first shelter with an animal kennel to support victims fleeing with pets;
  • Expanding the organization’s counseling services to Collin County;
  • and designing the extended stay emergency shelter program.

Given her long-standing history and most recent role as interim CEO and Chief Operating Officer, we anticipate a very seamless transition with zero interruptions to The Family Place’s critical services for domestic violence survivors. We know she will continue building on her tremendous accomplishments and do great things for The Family Place -  and importantly, for survivors.

None of this work would be possible without your generous support and partnership. On behalf of our 200 employees, 50+ board members, and thousands of clients over the past 30+ years at The Family Place, I want to say thank you for all that you do to ensure survivors of domestic violence can find safety and hope for the future.

I ask you to join me in congratulating Tiffany and welcoming her into this very exciting and meaningful next chapter for our organization.

Harold Ginsburg
