DALLAS, TX (April 6, 2022) – Dallas-based family violence agency, The Family Place, is looking
forward to the 30th anniversary of its signature Partners Card fundraising event, an annual 10-
day shopping and dining extravaganza that raises money for The Family Place’s work to support
survivors of family violence. The event will take place from Friday, October 28 to Sunday,
November 6, 2022, throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Last year’s Partners Card fundraiser was a major success, with over 600 participating retailers,
more than 13,000 Partners Cards sold, and over 16,500 nights of shelter provided for victims
of family violence.
“There is no other fundraiser quite like Partners Card. For three decades, its impact on our
organization and the Dallas community has been transformative. In our 30th year, we are
focused on growth strategies to make it bigger and better every year,” said CEO Mimi Sterling.
“We anticipate that this year’s Partners Card event will raise record-breaking funds, providing
life-changing services and brighter futures for women, men, children, and their pets surviving
domestic violence.”
Partners Card 2022 is a landmark year celebrating 30 years of saving money and saving lives at
The Family Place. A small group of dedicated volunteers created Partners Card, destined to be
the most impactful fundraiser for The Family Place and a remarkable annual shopping event in
Dallas. Since its launch in 1993 with founding chairs Sally Hoglund and Sally Johnson, the
fundraising program has grown from 150 participating stores raising $90,000 to more than 650
participating retailers raising over $1 million annually. To date, Partners Card has raised more
than $20 million for The Family Place.
This year’s milestone event is sponsored by Bank of Texas, Audi Dallas, and NorthPark Center
and is led by co-chairs Andrea Cheek, Wynne McNabb Cunningham, Hannah Fagadau, Lisa
Hewitt, and Honorary Chair Paula Davis. The Family Place could not have selected better
representatives and leaders for this special anniversary year:
Andrea Cheek serves as Centennial Co-Chair for The Junior League of Dallas (JLD), a six-year
leadership position organizing all events based around the JLD Centennial in 2021-2022,
including the creation and execution of an exhibit at Fair Park’s Hall of State, overseeing the
relationship between JLD and the City of Dallas in implementing The Juanita Craft Civil Rights
House as the Centennial Project, and the formation of the Centennial Endowment. She is also
co-chairing the Centennial Gala this April. Andrea is a member of Cattle Baron’s Ball, and she
has chaired Partners Card and Trains at NorthPark benefiting Ronald McDonald House. Andrea
is a former franchise owner of three Newk’s Eatery DFW locations. All were successfully sold in
2019. She lives in University Park with her husband, Heath, and their two children, Gage and
Charlotte.
Wynne McNabb Cunningham, a seventh-generation Texan, has worked as an electrical
engineer, a web developer, and a corporate attorney. She currently devotes her time to
supporting various nonprofit organizations in the Dallas community, including The Family
Place. Wynne looks forward to supporting Partners Card as a co-chair during this
30th anniversary year.
Hannah Fagadau is a Dallas native and gallery owner. She cofounded 12.26 gallery in the Design
District with her sister Hilary in 2019. Hannah is a devoted member of the Dallas community
and is passionate about The Family Place and its mission to support women, families, and
children in need.
Lisa Hewitt is a nurse practitioner with expertise in orthopedics and intimate partner violence.
She is involved in multiple organizations in the Dallas community. Lisa is currently the
underwriting chair for the Children’s Cancer Fund. She is an active member of Junior League of
Dallas and Cattle Baron’s Ball. She co-chaired the inaugural Visionary Luncheon for the Retina
Foundation. Lisa has supported The Family Place for many years and is excited to be co-chairing
Partners Card this year.
Honorary Chair Paula Davis has been involved in Partners Card since its inception, acting as a
community seller since 1996 and selling a total of 4,105 Partners Cards to date. She has raised a
total of $260,701 for The Family Place just through selling Partners Cards, which makes her a
fantastic asset for this year’s anniversary fundraiser.
Partners Cards go on sale September 6, 2022, for $75 each, and grant purchasers a 20%
discount at retailers and a 10% discount at restaurants during the 10-day event. The sale of
each Partners Card pays for one night of safety for a survivor at The Family Place. Additionally,
100% of each Partners Card purchase directly supports The Family Place programs and
services that save lives.
